Description
The music program at Wedgewood encompasses grades Pre-K through 5th. Pre-K students learn basic beats and rhythms, musical symbols and terms, and vocal exercises. The music program is designed to reinforce not only musical concepts, but also academic subjects as well. Music lessons are aligned to the classroom curriculum as well as the National Standards of Music. Performance is also a large part of the program. Third grade performs a Christmas musical and fifth grade performs a year-end musical. Here at Wedgewood, the entire faculty works as a team to educate the whole child. |
